New Patients Welcome at Our Bushey Dental Practice

New patients are welcome at our private Bushey dental practice. Your first visit is a thorough examination with Dr Kimia Mirzakhani, plenty of time to talk, and a clear written plan with costs.

Joining our Bushey dental practice

Whether you’ve recently moved to the area, your previous dentist has retired, or it’s simply been a while since your last check-up, new patients are welcome at Caspian Dental Clinic, our private Bushey dental practice. Joining is straightforward: you book a new patient examination.

We’re a small, independent practice. You’ll see Dr Kimia Mirzakhani, our principal dentist, at every visit, supported by our dental nurse, Varsha Mahida. Dr Kimia is internationally trained and has more than 25 years’ experience in dentistry.

How to book your first appointment

  • By phone: call 01923 254979 during our opening hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 10am to 4pm, and Saturday, subject to availability.
  • Online: send us a message using the form on our contact page, and we’ll get back to you to arrange a time.
  • By email: write to info@caspiandentalclinic.com.

If you’re in pain, please tell us when you get in touch. We offer same-day emergency dental appointments when available during opening hours.

What happens at your new patient examination

Your new patient examination costs from £100, including X-rays. It’s an unhurried appointment that gives Dr Kimia a complete picture of your oral health and gives you the chance to ask questions.

  1. Your medical history and concerns

We go through your medical history and any medicines you take, as these can affect your mouth and your treatment. We’ll also ask what’s bothering you, what you’d like to change and whether anything worries you about dental visits.

  2. A full examination of your teeth, gums and soft tissues

Dr Kimia checks each tooth, your gums and the soft tissues of your mouth. Oral cancer screening is part of every routine examination.

  3. X-rays where clinically needed

X-rays can reveal decay between teeth, problems under existing fillings and changes in the bone around your teeth, none of which can be seen by eye. We only take them where they’re clinically needed.

  4. A clear explanation of what we’ve found

We explain our findings in plain English: what’s healthy, what needs attention and what can safely be monitored. If there’s more than one option, we’ll talk you through each, including the risks.

  5. A written treatment plan with costs

If you need treatment, you’ll receive a written treatment plan with costs, so you can decide in your own time. You don’t have to make any decisions on the day.

“I visited this clinic in Aug 2021 as a new patient. I had a general check up, a filling replaced and a dental scrub. Dr Mirzakhani took the time to explain what my options were. Prices were clear as per the website and were reasonable.”

Fees and payment

As a private practice, we don’t provide NHS treatment, and our fees are published so you know where you stand. A new patient examination including X-rays is from £100, a routine adult check-up is from £47, a child check-up (under 12) is £40 and a 30-minute hygiene appointment is from £100.

We accept cash and credit or debit cards (not American Express). You’ll find every fee on our price list.

Saturday appointments for busy weeks

We’re open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 10am to 4pm, and Saturday, subject to availability, and closed on Wednesday and Sunday. If your working week makes appointments difficult, a Saturday visit means you don’t need to take time off.

The practice is about 100 yards from Bushey railway station, which is on the London Overground (Lioness line) from Watford Junction and Watford High Street.

Nervous about your first visit?

If you’re anxious, or embarrassed because it’s been a long time, please tell us when you book. We’ll take time to talk first, explain each step, agree a stop signal and never judge.

“I had not been to the dentist in almost 10 years after a bad experience with my previous dentist. … So charming and non-judgemental, I was immediately put at ease and will not hesitate to return.”
