Facial aesthetics at Caspian Dental Clinic is focused on one thing: fine lines and wrinkles on the upper face. It starts with a conversation, not a sales pitch. You’ll meet Dr Kimia Mirzakhani face to face to talk about what you’ve noticed and whether treatment is right for you.
Every face is different, so whether treatment may suit you, with its risks, cost and realistic results, is explained at your consultation rather than on a web page.
Why see a dental team about your face?
Dentists work on the face every day. Our team has detailed knowledge of facial anatomy, including the muscles, nerves and blood vessels around the mouth, and we consider your smile and face together.
Your consultation is led by Dr Kimia, our principal dentist, who has more than 25 years’ experience in dentistry. Patients regularly mention how clearly she explains options and risks. You can find out more about Dr Kimia and the team.
“…she took the extra time to explain what the issue was and what she was going to do about it, what risks are involved, and what outcomes were expected”

Areas we treat
We treat fine lines and wrinkles on the upper face only:
- Forehead lines: the horizontal lines across your forehead
- Frown lines: the vertical lines between your eyebrows
- Crow’s feet: the fine lines at the outer corners of your eyes
We don’t offer dermal fillers, lip treatments or skin treatments. If treatment isn’t the right answer for you, we’ll tell you; sometimes the better option is no treatment at all.

Face-to-face assessment
Every consultation takes place in person at the practice. We look closely at your face and listen to what you’d like to change and why.
Medical history
We go through your health, medicines, allergies and any previous aesthetic treatment, because these affect what’s safe and suitable for you.
Discussing your options
We explain whether treatment may suit you, what it involves, possible risks and side effects, likely results and how long they may last. If we don’t think treatment is right for you, we’ll tell you.
Time to reflect
There’s always a cooling-off period between your consultation and any treatment. You won’t be asked to decide on the day, and you’re free to ask more questions or change your mind.
Agreeing a plan
If you decide to go ahead, we confirm the plan, the cost and your consent before anything is done.
“I can highly recommend this practice for its professional yet friendly approach and attitude, she has always given me good honest advice and service.”

Who may not be suitable
Facial aesthetic treatment isn’t right for everyone. It may not be suitable, or may need to wait, if you:
- are under 18
- are pregnant or breastfeeding
- have certain medical conditions or take certain medicines, which we’ll check with you
- have a skin infection, cold sore or inflammation in the area
- are hoping for a result that treatment can’t realistically achieve
If any of these apply, we’ll explain why.
Aftercare principles
Aftercare depends on the treatment, and you’ll be given specific advice for yours. In general:
- Follow the aftercare instructions you’re given, including any advice on exercise, heat and alcohol.
- Avoid touching or rubbing the area unless you’ve been told it’s fine.
- Check before using make-up or skincare; our article on wearing make-up after facial rejuvenation treatments explains why timing matters.
- Contact us if you notice anything unexpected, such as increasing pain, swelling or redness.
If you have an urgent concern out of hours, call NHS 111. If swelling affects your breathing or swallowing, go to A&E or call 999.
Facial aesthetics FAQs
Which areas do you treat?
Fine lines and wrinkles on the upper face only: forehead lines, frown lines between the eyebrows and crow’s feet around the eyes. We don’t offer dermal fillers, lip treatments or skin treatments.
What happens at a facial aesthetics consultation?
We assess your face in person, take your medical history and discuss the lines that concern you, then explain whether treatment may suit you, the risks and realistic results, with time to think before any treatment.
Will I be treated on the same day as my consultation?
No. We build in a cooling-off period between your consultation and any treatment, so you have time to reflect, ask questions and make a decision you’re comfortable with.
Who can have facial aesthetic treatment?
You must be 18 or over. Treatment may not be suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or with certain medical conditions or medicines, and we’ll check this carefully at your consultation.
Why don’t you list prices online?
Whether treatment is suitable, and what it involves, depends on an in-person assessment of your face and health, so we explain the risks and cost properly at your consultation.
